MODERN FOG OF WAR
Jurassic War native port - 1.10O

Open Options > Advanced and enable Modern fog of war, then choose Save.
It is off by default. In multiplayer and co-op the host supplies the match
rule. Changing a local preference cannot override that shared rule.

Current sight uses the original game's VP sight footprints. Explored ground
remains visible at reduced brightness when units move away. Terrain and
static buildings retain their last observed appearance until revisited;
hidden unit movement, items, effects and positional sounds are suppressed.
Both transitions use the original indexed fog-edge artwork. The irregular,
stippled edges are retained instead of ending in solid square black tiles.
The minimap dims remembered areas and hides current enemy movement there.
Allied eight-player tribes share visibility.

SAVE GAMES
New saves and checkpoints store compressed visibility memory in FogMemory
inside the same storage directory as the saves (or inside your profile).
The original save archive is unchanged. Memory files are matched by the
save archive's SHA-256, so autosave rotation and restored archive backups
cannot accidentally load another generation's map knowledge.

Keep FogMemory when copying your saves to another installation or profile.
An older save, or a save copied without its memory files, rebuilds modern
map knowledge from current sight. This avoids revealing unseen changes that
the old save format could not remember. A failed game load preserves the
current match's fog state. New saves retain the fog setting; Advanced can
change it again in single player.

REPLAYS AND SPECTATORS
New mission replays retain fog memory for player-view playback, including
allied vision. Free camera retains its unrestricted battlefield view.
Replay versions 1 through 3 remain readable alongside version 4.
Restricted spectator views use their permitted human/team vision; choosing
All while the host limits exploration does not add the AI tribes' knowledge.
Spectator role choice remains with the spectator.

See SPECTATOR-README.txt for viewer controls, permissions and recording limits.

CAMPAIGN CHEATS
BRIGHT reveals the battlefield with modern fog too. DARK restores normal
sight and clears that revealed map knowledge. The reveal setting survives
save/load and is captured in replay player views. Existing fog-memory saves
remain readable. Recognized campaign cheats accept mixed capitalization.
